Where and When Was the Ride?

It had just opened. A new roller coaster like none before...except the year before that...and the year before that. This one, however, was only three hours away, two if you drive correctly. A group of adventurers set out the night before to stay in a hotel by the park. The group consisting of Abbott, Shawn, Tony, Nate, and Nicole tried to squeeze into the two beds, but alas Shawn slept on the floor. Morning came quickly and they had to make it early to the park. No time for the included continental breakfast. They had planned ahead of time and made a beautiful 9x9 pan of chocolate brownies. An odor, strange yet familiar, made them all the more delicious. The pan had to be divided, trying best as they could to create 5 equal brownies. After breakfast, it was time to hit the road to the park. To honor the park, a sacrifice of a communal smoke in the parking lot took place. Then some happy tablets appeared from the pockets of Nate. They all agreed to take one, but in the end it was two for each. A mad, crookedly taken run was made to the ride they had sought out. The very end of the line was the arrival point. From there our adventurers toured the line back and forth through the queue. They joked and laughed, then were content, and at many times had clouded minds of where they were. Finally, they made it to the front of the ride. It was going to be exciting. They took their positions and took a deep breath, this is what they had waited for......Nate looked up from the bar with his beer. Beer at an amusement park, what a concept! He chugged it down and met outside with the rest, who were sitting at a bench. They stared at one another all knowing what the other was thinking. They each remember getting on the ride, but that was it. Some memory taking force had collected his toll at the entry to the ride. To this day, the adventurers remember everything from that trip, everything but the ride they so desperately wanted to experience.
